Inflation rate falls to lowest level in almost three years

“Inflation sat at 2.3% in the year to April, down from 3.2% the month before.

The Bank of England said earlier this month that it expected inflation to fall “close” to its target level soon. But it warned it wanted to see “more evidence” before deciding to cut rates, which means August or September appear to be the most likely timing for a first cut, if inflation continues to fall as expected”…

House prices rise as spring selling season boosts UK property market

“The average price of UK property coming to the market reached record levels in May, rising by £2,807, as the spring selling season lent itself to the recovery of the housing market.

Plans for a new Liverpool Central Station are underway

“With the Liverpool-Manchester Railway Board announced this week, fresh images released show what the station could look like. Land and buildings bound by Renshaw Street, Bold Street, and Ranelagh Street in Liverpool city centre present an opportunity to create an enhanced gateway to the city centre, LCR said, with a £1million contract up for grabs to lead on the vision.
