The “Palais Bulles” (or “Bubble Palace” as it’s better known to many) is located in Cannes, France, and is the most expensive property in the world. Let’s take a tour.
The $455 million (£351.7) home, currently listed on Christie’s International Real Estate, is impressive from the first second with its futuristic design with, as the name might suggest, its design of bubbles all around.
Once owned by popular fashion designer Pierre Cardin, the unconventional home boasts ten bedrooms, a spherical living room and an abundance of gardens with swimming pools and ponds.
So let’s go on a little tour.
Designed by Hungarian architect Antti Lovag and built between 1975 and 1989, the property really should be compared to a micro village than to just one home.
And none of the theme is lost on the inside. Even the couch on the main living room is an oval shape.
The reception room is the next part of the property that will never fail to impress with its unique furniture.
All of the ten suites are designed by contemporary artists. Special highlights in the one featured below are the round bed and circular window.
Some of the bathrooms are really looking more like spas with curved sinks and baths. You won’t find a single straight line.
Nighttime is extra special in this beautiful home with the water reflecting the outstanding architecture once more.
And from above, it really just looks like this is the perfect place to watch “The Martian” every night.
