The \u201cWelcome Home\u201d parade for this year\u2019s GB Olympic heroes will be held today in Manchester.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After PM May announced in August that this year\u2019s national parade to celebrate Britain\u2019s Olympians and Paralympians will be held in Manchester, the Northern capital<\/a> has work hard to prepare the perfect welcome these athletes more than deserve.<\/p>\n

Manchester City Council deputy leader, Sue Murphy, told MEN<\/a> that \u201cwhenever we\u2019ve had parades in the past, Manchester has been out in force.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut it\u2019s not just about the parade – we need to continue to inspire people and think about how we can work with different sporting bodies to make sure we continue this success.\u201d<\/p>\n
