Typically, first-timers borrowed \u00a3254,300, down from \u00a3256,000, whilst the whole country averaged at \u00a3133,000, CML revealed.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/05\/16\/londons-house-price-dilemma-fall-continues\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">London\u2019s households<\/a> on average have an income of \u00a364,100, which remained unchanged from the previous quarter. A traditional seasonal dip in activity in the winter months is expected, but it has been more pronounced in London compared to the UK overall, as persisting supply and affordability issues continue exerting ongoing restraint on growth. We do expect activity will pick up as we go forward into the summer months.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cBy contrast, remortgage activity was at an eight-year high in London.
